An Addition To The Blog

So Fraggle Rock now has a little sister, Picture Show. There's a new link on my sidebar, because I'm all about easy access. Basically I post pictures that I randomly take and that I like. Another exciting thing, totally to do with this is I registered for school. I'm going to be studying Photojournalism and Commercial Photography, which I'm really excited about so hopefully my picture taking abilities get better as time progresses.

  1. I'm so excited you registered for school!! For a long time i debated going to SAIT for photojournalism but then i realized how much money it would cost and i'd only be good at the photo part, i'd need someone (it was always ideally you, haha)to take care of the journalism part!

  2. Thanks! I'm so excited! I start on May 4th it's so soon I'm pretty nervous. I think I'm leaning more towards wanting to do Editorial photography and Travel Photography. I'm thinking that if I want to have freelance and contractual options that would be the best bet for me. BUT the best part about the program I'm going into is that there's no tests, you're not graded on your pictures, they just evaluate if your skill is good enough to move on. Which I love because I don't really think that anybody has the right to GRADE art. So all you're working towards is building a portfolio and once you choose what way you want to go in the field you have to choose 3 employers you'd want to work for and they send your portfolio to those people to be evaluated and they give you feedback as to weather or not they would choose you and what you could do to fit their style. I can't believe how excited I am.

  4. I'll be able to use one for free every Sunday starting September probably is when I'm going to be taking my darkroom/darkroom equivalent course. It's sweet I can go in on Sunday's and use all of their lights, lenses, filters, computers and sets for free and I don't even need to sign up. Just go and have a ball as long as it's "school related"
